Hello everyone!

I figured it couldn't hurt to start off with a question.

Do you exercise? If so, what do you like to do?

can i claim yes if i do it sporadically? XD i tend to go through bouts of exercising daily, then bouts of not exercising because i don't have enough time/am too lazy/not interested/etc. when i do exercise, i tend to either run on my treadmill, or use different dvds to try to keep myself interested

I recently started going to the gym after a long respiratory illness, after my doctor suggested that I do cardiovascular exercises as part of my recovery process. Treadmill, mostly, and light weight training improve my strength. *g* I've been trying to be strict with myself and be at the gym at least twice a week, but it's a bit of a slow going! I'm not familiar with exercises machines at all (right now I'm getting a trainer to show me the ropes) -- I used to have martial arts training four days a week and that's pretty much how I exercise, but stopped after I moved to another city.

I used to be better about it, but got out of the habit when the big D started interfering w/my thought processes.. but I used to walk everywhere and ride my bike a lot. I plan to get back into doing that, plus start using the wellness center at work for the services there.

might as well keep on working on this anxiety-induced weight loss and put it to a more healthy ending, right?

I actually really enjoy exercise, I just have a horrible time remembering to do any. I spent a few years being sedentary, but now I've gotten back into it with a local rowing team.

Yes!

I dance for several hours a week (swing dancing), I just started training for a marathon, and I just signed a contract for personal training (for strength and flexibility) for twice a week for the next three months!

I used to do a fair amount of dancing at uni, but have got out of the habit since I started work. I'd like to pick it up again sometime.

I try to get to the gym about 3-4 times a week. Most days I work out on the elliptical, and I also take a yoga class one night a week (I'm skipping it tonight). I used to take a weekly pilates class, but I got a little bored with it after a while. As the weather starts turning nice here I'm hoping to add some outdoors exercise regularly.

I work out everyday. Sometimes it's just a quick run on the treadmill, other times I do an ab routine and a leg workout after running. Depends on my mood.

I'm coming off a long period of inactivity, and this coming week I'm going to start incorporating yoga and dance into my routine with some DVDs I've purchased. I'm also looking into a membership at a nearby YMCA.
